1.Test Principle
After the vacuum chamber is evacuated, the liquid-filled specimen generates a pressure difference between the inside and outside, so that we can observe the liquid leakage in the specimen.
2.Instrument and material
Real drying box with direct-connected vacuum pump
Power supply voltage: 220V 50Hz; Input power: 400W; Reaching vacuum degree: 133Pa.
3.Sample Preparation
- Select the matching sample package to test
- Fill the bottles and jars with a suitable liquid to about 80% of their full capacity or below the bottle’s shoulder, normally recommend the colorful water at room temperature. Take care to avoid air bubbles during filling.
- Tighten the lids and wipe the outer surface clean.
4.Test Procedure
- Place the test samples flat or invert in a tray lined with absorbent paper. The number of samples placed on each tray should not be excessive and should not overlap or cross over.
- Place the tray containing the test sample into the vacuum drying oven.
- Switch on the vacuum pump and reduce the pressure in the vacuum chamber of the instrument to -0.06MPa through the electric valve for 5-10min, and the test condition of the airtight powder box is -0.02MPa for 5min.
- After the test, return to atmospheric pressure, remove the sample and observe the sample leakage.
5.Explanation of results
After the test, we need to observe the leakage of the sample carefully. After eliminating the sample assembly problems or other interfering factors, the leakage status of the sample is determined according to the following leakage conditions:
- If the sample container is used for filling liquid or highly fluid products, leakage to the outside of the bottle and at the threads, we judge the sample to be unacceptable.
- If the sample container is used for filling cream products, leakage to the outside of the bottle, we judge the sample to be unacceptable.
