Silkscreen printing process is to print ink on the substrate through the silkscreen. It is not limited by the size and shape of the substrate. It can be printed on molded objects of different shapes and concave and convex surfaces.
Silkscreen Printing Process
1.Platemaking
- Select net, pull the net, brush the yellow glue, and solidify
- Segmentation the net, first brush the photosensitive glue, and dry
- Second brush the photosensitive glue, and heating
- Past film, and exposure
- Soak with running water, washing the net with running water, and blow-dry
- Exposure again, and confirming.
2.Modulation ink
- Prepare according to the formula on the silk screen formula table. Before preparing, confirm whether the formula of the product sold in different regions is different, and select the formula of the corresponding product;
- Ink blending: calibrate the balance, record all ink ratios during the ink blending process, adjust the ink to be consistent with the reference color required by the customer, and adjust the ink color to the middle line of the upper and lower limits. Repeat the above steps until the effect after silk screen printing meets the customer’s requirements;
- Record: record the relevant parameters of the ink blending process and keep a record.
3.Debugging the machine
- The technician places the dried screen on a special fluorescent light to check the drying condition of the screen;
- Take the screen that meets the requirements to the production line and start installing the machine; stick the special tape to the screen according to the screen printing range to separate the ink distribution range, add the printing oil to the screen, and adjust the position and height to keep the screen parallel to the screen printing surface.
- Install the screen on the screen printing machine, fix the screen position, and adjust the screen printing machine to the best state;
- Check that the power supply, gas source, baking oven temperature, and line speed of the screen printing machine are within the parameter range;
- First piece inspection, and adjust the screen printing machine again.
4.Silkscreen printing
- Prepare labor protection supplies to ensure safe production; spot check the quality of incoming materials before screen printing;
- All screen printers must wear activated carbon masks and anti-fingerprint gloves to ensure the cleanliness of products during the production process;
- Prepare the light bottles to be screen printed and ensure that the quality of the light bottles meets the requirements;
- Silkscreen printed the first batch of products, spot check them and compare them with the drawings to ensure that the screen printing position and height are consistent with the drawings.
5.Heating
- After screen printing, the inspected good products are placed in the baking tray in turn, and the defective products are placed in the heavy-duty product turnover box. After rework and wiping, they are screen-printed again and then put into baking;
- The screen printing baking temperature is controlled between 110±5 degrees. The first baking temperature of the hot stamping product is controlled at 80±5℃;
- After drying, the products are focused on checking for defects such as color difference, adhesion, gloss, thickness, screen printing position, mesh sticking, and font hairiness. The baking temperature and machine speed are appropriately increased according to the adhesion conditions.
11.Bottle inspection
- Wear work gloves, pick up the bottle and inspect the silk screen quality under the light, and count the types and proportions of defective products;
- After full inspection, pack and put into boxes (Inspection limit samples and defective samples are provided by QC).
12.Packing
- Prepare boxes and crate labels according to the packaging specifications .
- Packers pack products in accordance with specifications of the product packaging.
- Pack the silkscreen printed bottles and stamp labels(Standard is provided from QC). When packing, checking whether there are missed, mixed or multi-installed. Crates must be neatly stacked and make a single mark.
